Now I’m able to express my feelings more freely and show my true self without holding back. I’ve always had fun performing live, but the ability to fully be myself on stage has allowed me to enjoy my live shows even more.

For me, singing is where I’m most secure, so I’d rather be singing than playing an instrument. But ever since I started playing the guitar at my shows, I genuinely enjoy it, so I’ve been practicing every day. I would like to continue playing, so I was happy that I was able to showcase that in the new music video.
I feel like I sing for the people more. In the beginning, I wanted to sing for myself, because I wanted to do something to make my dream come true and I wanted to find a place where I can express my feelings, but now I would like to sing for someone who has similar feelings.

Anisong Artists Gather in L.A. for Giant Music Celebration with American Fans!

Konomi: It’s really interesting to express emotions other than my own, singing with the world view of a particular anime and the emotions of those characters. Anime brings me to a world that I’m not able to reach by myself, and the thrill I get at the moment I finally get to listen to my song playing with the anime when it’s broadcast, it makes me really thankful to be able to be an anisong singer.
